Nature

There is another side to Manny that drives his creative juices: a lifelong obsession with nature. Although he majored in biology in college and planned a career in the natural sciences, he found the challenges of photography exciting and artistically rewarding. Photographing nature has always been a relaxing escape from the pressures of running a commercial studio in Atlanta and traveling as many as 250 days a year on assignments. A laptop provided the tool to write dozens of articles on nature (mostly reptiles, amphibians, and venomous animals), photography, and the basic chapters for a book. The goal of these chapters was a book that had been rattling (pun intended) around his synapses since college.
